## Description

You can stop context-switching to the RevenueCat dashboard every time a customer has a billing issue. This MCP connects your AI agent directly to your subscription data, allowing you to handle support and configuration tasks through a chat interface. If a user needs a trial extension, you can grant it instantly. If a customer is asking about their current plan, you can pull their status without digging through logs. You can also manage your product catalog, including entitlements and offerings, by talking to your agent. It turns your AI client into a functional extension of your revenue operations, making it easy to handle promotional grants, customer transfers, and subscription adjustments in one place.

## Tools

### rc_create_customer
Creates a new customer profile in RevenueCat with an ID and optional attributes.

### rc_create_entitlement
Sets up a new entitlement within your project.

### rc_detach_products_from_entitlement
Removes products from an entitlement, which prevents new purchases of those products from granting access.

## Prompt Examples

**Prompt:**
```
Is the customer with email john@example.com still active on Pro?
```

**Response:**
```
Found one matching customer. Their entitlements show Pro is currently active and renews automatically. I can pull their full subscription record or grant an extension if you need.
```

**Prompt:**
```
Grant the pro entitlement to customer 19b8de26 for 14 days as a win-back.
```

**Response:**
```
Granted. The pro entitlement is now active for that customer for 14 days. Note that if they already hold a store purchase of pro, access continues from the store on its own terms.
```

**Prompt:**
```
Extend this web subscription by 14 days for customer satisfaction.
```

**Response:**
```
Extended the current billing period by 14 days with reason customer_satisfaction. The next charge is now pushed out by two weeks.
```

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Can I refund Apple or Google Play purchases through this MCP?**
No. Apple and Google Play refunds must be handled through their respective stores or via a store management URL. This MCP only handles refunds for web-managed subscriptions.

**How do I find a customer if I don't have their ID?**
You can use the search tools to find customers by their email address or other free-text identifiers.

**What happens if I grant an entitlement that a user already has via the App Store?**
The promotional grant is applied, but the user's existing store-purchased access will continue to be managed by the store on its own terms.

**Is it safe to use the transfer tool?**
The transfer tool is a support operation. You should confirm the user's intent before running it, as the original customer will lose access to the transferred purchases.

**How do I get my project ID?**
You can use the list projects tool to see all projects visible to your API key and select the correct ID.

**Which API key type do I need?**
A **V2 secret key**. Create it in your project's Settings > API keys > + New, pick version V2 and the permissions you need. v1 keys do not work against the v2 API, so create a fresh v2 key if you only have v1 ones.

**Do I need more than the API key?**
Yes — the project ID too. It scopes every call. Find it in your dashboard URL (app.revenuecat.com/projects/) or call `rc_list_projects` to see which projects your key can see and copy the right one.

**Can it cancel or refund an Apple or Google Play subscription?**
Only for web-billing (RevenueCat-managed) subscriptions. For store plans, use `rc_subscription_management_url` to hand the customer a signed link to the store's own management flow, or the store API. Cancel/refund tools are explicitly limited to `rc_billing`.
