Connect Ably MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Ably to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write code in Cursor using live Ably payloads
This MCP Server feeds real-time production payloads directly into Cursor's Composer. Your agent calls `get_messages` to pull actual message histories, letting you write parsers against real JSON structures instead of guessing with mock data. Instead of switching back and forth between your editor and the browser, the agent uses `get_channel_metadata` to check active configurations. You write your subscription code using the exact fields currently live on your network.
Inject real presence states into Cursor
Cursor uses this MCP Server to pull live user states directly into your workspace. It triggers `get_presence` and `batch_presence` to see who is connected to your dev channels right now. The agent analyzes this data to generate matching TypeScript interfaces or React hooks. It uses `get_presence_history` to understand the lifecycle of your connection events and write cleaner state management code.
Verify messaging logic inside your editor
Test your publish-subscribe pipelines without leaving your code files. Your agent triggers `publish_message` or `batch_publish` to fire test payloads down your channels, verifying your local listeners react correctly. For push notification setups, the agent calls `push_publish` or `batch_push_publish` to send test alerts to your devices. You can verify your payload schemas instantly while the agent monitors the output.
