Connect Actionstep MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Actionstep to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query Actionstep matters directly from the Cursor editor
The `list_matters` tool exposes your entire active legal case list directly to your Cursor agent. When you write custom automation scripts or billing dashboards, the editor pulls real case IDs and statuses rather than placeholder variables. To drill down into a specific case, the agent runs `get_matter_details` to populate your active code context with real-world legal properties. This allows you to build and debug custom legal software with absolute accuracy.
Build billing automations using this MCP Server
The `list_time_entries` tool retrieves raw billable hours so your Cursor agent can write precise invoicing scripts. You can test your code against actual time logs to ensure your math matches your firm's ledger. By accessing `list_legal_tasks`, the agent verifies which outstanding deadlines correspond to those hours. This ensures your custom reporting tools match work completed against scheduled milestones.
Programmatically manage contacts in Cursor
The `create_contact` tool inserts new client profiles into Actionstep directly from your workspace. When writing intake webhooks or CRM sync scripts, the agent tests the API payload in real-time. To prevent duplicate records during development, the agent runs `list_contacts` to verify existing identities using this MCP integration. You write cleaner code because your editor has direct access to the live contact database.
