How to Use the Airbyte MCP in Cursor
Generate code using live schema definitions from your Airbyte connections directly inside Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Airbyte MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Airbyte to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write database schemas using live Airbyte metadata
Stop guessing table structures when writing SQL or backend code. Let Cursor query your live setup via `get_source` to pull exact schema fields directly into your editor. Your AI agent writes migrations based on actual pipeline outputs. Running `get_connection` ensures your local database models match what your sync pipelines expect.
Debug data pipeline sync failures in Cursor
When an API integration breaks, check the logs without switching to Chrome. This MCP Server lets your agent run `list_jobs` to pull the latest sync history into your editor sidebar. You can instantly see which step failed and write a patch. Having `list_connections` available means you can verify the target database before committing code.
Map integrations with this Cursor MCP Server
Build custom data tools with accurate context. Your agent calls `list_sources` and `list_destinations` to generate configuration files that match your active pipelines. The editor uses `list_workspaces` to keep your dev, staging, and production environments separate. It prevents you from accidentally deploying code pointing to the wrong workspace.
