How to Use the Amplitude MCP in Cline
Cline builds features based on real Amplitude facts. Stop guessing what users do and start coding against their actual behavior.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Amplitude MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Amplitude to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Export raw data for Cline
Cline triggers `export_events` to pull raw logs for any time window you specify. It then writes these events into a local file for you to analyze in your codebase. This gives you a local dataset to run tests against. You can simulate user behavior by feeding this exported data back into your app logic.
Automate cohort checks in Cline
Tell Cline to fetch your latest user groups using `list_cohorts`. It identifies the right segment and runs your code against those specific users. It handles the polling required by `get_cohort` so you don't sit around waiting. Once the download is ready, the agent drops the data right into your project folder.
Get active user counts in Cline
Cline runs `active_users` to see how many people are hitting your features today. It uses this to decide if a bug report is a high-priority incident. If the count drops, Cline flags it as an issue. You get an immediate report on whether your latest commit caused a decline in daily usage.
