Coordinate CRM updates through AutoGen agents

In a multi-agent setup, one agent can pull records using `list_crm_contacts` while a reviewer agent checks the data for formatting. They discuss the quality of the lead before saving it. This collaborative approach keeps bad data out of your pipeline. You don't have to write strict validation rules because your agent team handles the review process.

Manage Vault connections via MCP Server consensus

Before initiating a session with `create_vault_session`, your security agent can verify the request against your access policies. Only after consensus is reached does the execution agent run the tool. If a connection needs to be removed, the agents can trigger `delete_vault_connection` after confirming it is no longer in use. This keeps your active integrations clean and secure.

Execute safe proxy requests through agent debate

When a task requires custom API access, your agent can call `execute_proxy` to interact with the target platform. A supervisor agent monitors the response to ensure no sensitive fields are leaked. This multi-agent oversight makes raw proxy calls safe to use in automated environments. You get the flexibility of direct API access without the security risks.

Setup guide

Set up Apideck MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Apideck tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Apideck_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Apideck data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Apideck MCP in AutoGen

You register the tools with your AssistantAgent instances. Both the sender and receiver agents can access `list_crm_contacts` to verify information during their debate.
Yes, you can set up a gatekeeper agent that reviews arguments before `execute_proxy` runs. If the parameters look suspicious, the agent rejects the step.
Yes, you can register these tools in a round-robin or selector group chat. Agents will invoke `get_vault_connection` or other tools as needed based on the conversation flow.
If `list_vault_connections` fails, the execution agent passes the error back to the group chat. The coordinator agent then decides whether to try a different path.
Your API tokens and Vault connection credentials stay in your local environment variables or secure vault. The Vinkius runtime processes the tools in memory and never writes them to disk.
