How to Use the Appwrite MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf's Cascade agent check your Appwrite project status, list users, and inspect storage buckets, all in one go.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Appwrite MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Appwrite to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Get a full project overview, instantly
This MCP server gives your agent read-only access to your Appwrite project's vitals. You don't have to open a single browser tab or remember where to click in the console. Just tell Cascade to 'check the backend status' and it will chain together `get_health_status`, `list_databases`, and `list_collections` to give you a complete report. It figures out the steps so you don't have to.
Audit users and functions automatically
This toolset lets Cascade audit your Appwrite users and functions on command. It's a fast way to check on things without manual inspection. Ask it to 'show me the last 10 signups' and it knows to run `list_users`. Or try 'check for failed executions' and it calls `list_functions` then `list_function_executions` to find the problem. You just set the goal, and Cascade does the work.
Inspect Storage with your Windsurf MCP Server
Connect this toolset to Windsurf to let Cascade dig into your storage buckets. Find out exactly what's been uploaded or what needs to be cleaned up. Cascade can run `list_storage_buckets` to see all your buckets, then use `list_bucket_files` on a specific one to itemize its contents. It’s a fast way to verify uploads or find old files without any manual steps.
