Analyze Metrics Alongside BigQuery

Pull live financial data from Baremetrics right into your Google Cloud environment. Use `list_metrics` for a high-level summary or `get_metric` to drill down on a specific number like `new_customers` or `mrr_growth_rate`. Since you're using the Google ADK, you can combine this live data with your historical records in BigQuery. A Gemini agent can then use its massive context window to spot trends, comparing real-time Baremetrics MRR against years of your own internal data.

Drill Down on Customer Segments

Your agent gets direct access to your customer and subscription data in Baremetrics. It can `list_customers` to get a full directory or `get_customer` to pull the history for a single account. The `list_subscriptions` tool shows you exactly what plan each customer is on. This is powerful when paired with Gemini's long-context reasoning. An agent can ingest your entire customer list, then use other Google Cloud tools to segment that data based on criteria you define in a prompt. It’s a fast way to build complex reports.

Build on a Google-Native MCP Server

The Google ADK is designed for the GCP ecosystem, and this MCP Server plugs right in. Your agent can check its connection status with `get_account_check` or list available data sources using `list_sources` before it starts a task. Configuration is straightforward. You instantiate an `McpToolset` with your Vinkius server URL and pass it to your `LlmAgent`. You can even use the `tool_names` filter to expose only a subset of the Baremetrics tools to a specific agent.

Setup guide

Set up Baremetrics MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Baremetrics tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Baremetrics_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Baremetrics tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Baremetrics MCP in Google ADK

You use the `McpToolset` class provided by the ADK. Point it to your Vinkius server URL and add it to the `tools` list for your `LlmAgent`. The framework handles discovery and execution.
Yes, that's one of its main strengths. Your Gemini agent can use this toolset to pull live customer or MRR data from Baremetrics, then use another tool to query your own data in BigQuery or Cloud SQL within the same session.
It's the integration with Google Cloud. If your data warehouse is in BigQuery and you're building with Gemini models, the ADK lets you treat this MCP Server for Baremetrics as another native data source. This makes it simpler to build agents that operate across your entire data stack.
No, it works with any model supported by the Google ADK. The MCP tool-calling standard is model-agnostic. You can use Gemini 1.5 Pro for its long context or a smaller model for faster, simpler tasks.
The server processes your Baremetrics financial metrics and customer lists. When used with the Google ADK, you're operating within the Google Cloud ecosystem. All data transport can be locked down with your existing GCP IAM roles and VPC Service Controls, keeping your financial data inside your cloud perimeter.
