Connect BasicOps MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect BasicOps to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Code Against Live Project Data
Stop writing code against mock data. Tell Cursor's agent to fetch a project from BasicOps using `get_project`. It will pull the live data and use it to write functions that actually work with your real project structure. Imagine you're building a dashboard. You can ask the agent to `list_project_tasks` for a specific project, and it will generate the frontend code to display those real tasks. You get working code, not placeholders, right in your editor.
Manage Tasks from Your Editor
You don't need to switch to your browser to manage your work. While you're coding, you can tell the agent to create a new bug report with `create_task` or update an existing one with `update_task`. It all happens in the chat panel. This is perfect for when you find a bug or think of an improvement while you're deep in the code. You can capture it immediately in BasicOps without losing your focus. You can even check who's on the team with `list_team_users` to assign it.
A Project-Scoped MCP Server
Set up the BasicOps MCP server once by adding it to your `.cursor/mcp.json` file. You can configure it for just one project or make it available globally across all your work. The project-level configuration means anyone who clones your repo can get the same tools if you commit the config file. The agent knows how to talk to BasicOps, so you spend less time looking up API docs and more time writing code.
