Manage Forms from Shell Scripts

Hook Claude Code into your Basin account for headless form management. Now you can write shell scripts to handle common tasks. Pipe the output of `list_submissions` to `grep` to find specific entries, or build a script to automatically delete old data with `delete_submission`. This isn't for browsing; it's for automation. Set up a cron job that runs nightly, calls `list_form_submissions` for a specific form, and uses `mark_as_spam` on anything that matches a pattern. You build the logic, Claude Code executes it.

Trigger Webhooks in CI/CD

Integrate form actions into your deployment pipelines. After a deploy, you can have a script use `refire_webhooks` on a specific submission to test that your endpoint is live and working correctly. This adds a layer of automated, end-to-end testing that's hard to do otherwise. You're not just checking if a server is up; you're verifying that it's processing real data correctly.

Your Newest CLI Admin Tool

This MCP Server gives Claude Code a direct line into your form backend. You can build simple command-line tools for your team. For example, create a script named `get-latest-lead` that just calls `get_latest_submission` and formats the output. It's about making data accessible in the environment where you work. No need to open a browser or log into another service. Just run a command.

Common questions about Basin MCP in Claude Code

First, add your Vinkius endpoint token as a repository secret. Then, in your workflow YAML, add a step to install Claude Code, add the Basin server with `claude mcp add`, and then execute your commands, like checking submissions.
Yes, that's what it's built for. For example, you can run `claude code --tool list_submissions` and pipe the resulting JSON to `jq` for filtering and formatting. It's designed to work with standard Unix tools.
Run `claude mcp add --transport http basin-mcp -- ` in your terminal. This command registers the server. You can verify the MCP connection is working with `claude mcp list`.
It's a simple diagnostic tool. Run it to confirm that your Claude Code agent can successfully authenticate with your Basin account through the server. It's the first thing to try if you suspect a connection issue.
It provides your agent with access to your forms and their corresponding submission data from your Basin account. Security is handled by Vinkius; your connection uses a single auth token, and the server instance processing your request is destroyed immediately after.
