Pipe BoardEffect MCP Server outputs to shell scripts

The `list_meetings` tool outputs raw board meeting schedules directly into your terminal session. You can pipe this data to grep, redirect it to a local markdown file, or feed it into cron jobs. This headless execution is built for terminal workflows. Claude Code executes the queries via the MCP Server, formats the JSON, and lets you parse board schedules without opening a browser.

Audit board access via terminal commands

The `list_members` tool lets you verify who has access to your board portals from the command line. You can quickly run `get_member` to check details on a specific director when auditing access logs. This terminal-first approach keeps your security audits fast. Claude Code runs the check, compares the list with your local system logs, and flags discrepancies.

Track board surveys and polls from the CLI

The `list_polls` tool retrieves active board votes so you can monitor engagement from your terminal. Claude Code can combine this with `list_surveys` to output a quick text-based status report. You can automate these checks in your CI/CD pipelines or run them as daily cron jobs. This keeps your team updated on board consensus without manual tracking.

Common questions about BoardEffect MCP in Claude Code

Run the `claude mcp add` command in your terminal, specifying the HTTP transport and your Vinkius endpoint URL. Claude Code writes this directly to your local config file.
Yes, you can pipe outputs from tools like `list_meetings` and `list_polls` into shell scripts. This allows you to generate automated text summaries of board activity.
No, tools like `list_documents` require an active internet connection to query the live board portal. Vinkius handles the API requests securely in real time.
It supports both SSE and HTTP transports. You can configure the MCP connection protocol using the standard CLI flags when adding the server.
Active vote counts and survey responses from `list_polls` are transmitted over encrypted TLS connections. Vinkius's zero-trust infrastructure runs the queries in isolated runtimes and never logs the content of your board decisions.
