Connect Canny MCP to Cline

Cline executes feedback tasks
Tell the agent to fix a reported bug, and it uses `create_feedback_post` to track it. It creates the record for you while it writes the fix. It handles the entire lifecycle by using `get_post_details` to verify requirements. You get a finished task instead of just an answer.
Cline manages board data
The agent lists boards with `list_feedback_boards` to find where a new feature belongs. It finds the right place for your ideas without manual sorting. It then uses `list_feedback_posts` to show you existing requests. You avoid building duplicates by letting the agent check the history first.
Cline updates user records
You can ask the agent to see who is active using `list_users`. It identifies the people requesting features so you can prioritize correctly. It also uses `add_comment` to notify users when a task is done. The agent finishes the feedback loop while you work on other files.
Set up Canny MCP in Cline
Prerequisites

- Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

Open Cline MCP settings
Click the Cline icon in the VS Code sidebar to open the Cline panel. Then click the MCP Servers icon (server stack) at the top-right corner of the panel.

Add a remote server
Click "Remote Servers" at the top, then click "Add Remote MCP". In the Name field, type
canny-mcp. In the URL field, paste your Vinkius endpoint:https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp. Get your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Enable the server
After saving, the server appears in the Cline MCP panel. Toggle the switch to enable it. The status indicator turns green when the connection is live.

Start using tools
Return to the Cline chat and ask: "Check my latest Canny refund status." Cline will discover the available tools and request your approval before invoking each one — giving you full control over every action.
