Build chess apps with live Chess.com data in Cursor
The `get_player_stats` tool retrieves real-time rating profiles and win-loss records to populate your code templates instantly. Cursor uses this live data to generate typed interfaces and components, replacing static mock files with actual player metrics. Instead of guessing API structures, run `get_player_profile` so Cursor can inspect the exact JSON payload on the fly. This direct feedback loop speeds up how you write and debug chess-related web apps.
Inject real PGN histories into your Cursor workspace
The `get_player_monthly_games` tool imports complete game records directly into your active workspace files. Cursor reads these PGNs to help you write custom parsing scripts, training algorithms, or opening repertoire builders. By calling `get_player_game_archives` first, the agent maps out your entire playing history before downloading specific matches. It gives you a reliable pipeline of real chess data to test your code against.
Query leaderboards using this Chess.com MCP Server
The `get_leaderboards` tool fetches the top-rated players across blitz, bullet, and rapid categories directly into your coding environment. Cursor feeds this competitive data into your local databases or ranking algorithms during development. You can also call `get_streamers` to pull live broadcast metadata and build custom directory features. This MCP Server makes it simple to integrate high-level competitive metrics into whatever chess software you are building.
