Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Clockify MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Clockify to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
End-to-End Clockify Logging with Cline
The `add_new_time_entry` tool in this MCP Server lets Cline log your development hours to Clockify without your manual input. When Cline completes a coding task, it immediately posts the exact duration to your workspace. Your Cline agent uses `stop_current_timer` to close out previous tasks before logging the new Clockify entry. This keeps your Cline-generated billing records accurate to the minute.
Automated Project Mapping in Cline
The `list_workspace_projects` tool fetches your active Clockify projects so Cline can tag your work correctly. Cline matches your current VS Code workspace files to your billing categories. By querying `list_workspace_clients`, the agent ensures the work goes to the right Clockify client account. You never have to copy-paste project IDs into Cline again.
Cline Team Activity Auditing
The `list_user_time_entries` tool lets Cline retrieve recent Clockify logs for any developer on your team. Analyzing these Clockify entries helps Cline summarize weekly progress. By using `list_workspace_users`, Cline maps those entries to actual Clockify team members. You get clean Clockify status updates right in your Cline sidebar.
