How to Use the Cloudinary MCP in Cursor
Use the Cloudinary MCP Server to pull live media data into your code in Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Cloudinary MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Cloudinary to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query Cloudinary assets while coding in Cursor
Stop using placeholder URLs in your components. Use `search_media_library` to fetch real image paths and inject them directly into your Cursor code block. It saves you from manually copying URLs from the web console. The agent handles the lookup while you stay focused on the logic.
Get asset details for Cursor projects
When you need to know the dimensions or format of an asset, call `get_media_resource_details`. The response includes everything you need to build responsive frontends. Cursor can then use this data to write accurate CSS or image component props. No more guessing file types or aspect ratios.
Audit Cloudinary transformations within Cursor
Check your available transformations by running `list_media_transformations`. This ensures you are referencing the correct named transformations in your code. It prevents broken image links caused by typos. Your Cursor agent can verify every transformation string against your actual account settings before you commit.
