How to Use the Cloudinary MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf and Cascade manage your Cloudinary assets, chain media lookups, and track storage usage directly from your editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Cloudinary MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Cloudinary to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Find and inspect Cloudinary assets with Windsurf Cascade
Cascade searches your Cloudinary library using `search_media_library` and grabs asset metadata with `get_media_resource_details` to feed your active Windsurf workspace context. This allows Cascade to autonomously fix broken image links by matching your local code variables with real Cloudinary asset paths.
Clean up clutter using the Windsurf MCP Server
To find assets that are no longer referenced in your Windsurf codebase, Cascade lists your active Cloudinary files using `list_media_resources`. Once the agent finds stale files, it uses `delete_media_resource` to keep your Cloudinary storage clean without manual intervention.
Apply Cloudinary presets directly in your code
By reading your existing dynamic and named configurations using `list_media_transformations` and `list_upload_presets`, Cascade finds active Cloudinary optimization options in Windsurf. It then writes your image components using the exact presets Cascade discovered in your Cloudinary account.
