How to Use the Coda MCP in Windsurf
Let Cascade run your entire Coda workspace, modifying docs and updating tables directly inside Windsurf.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Coda MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Coda to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Run Coda document workflows inside Windsurf
This server connects `list_docs` and `get_doc_details` directly to Cascade so your agent can map your workspace. When you ask Cascade to prepare a project tracker, it uses these tools to find the right file and read its layout. You don't copy paste anymore. Cascade maps out the document structure, finds the tables it needs, and reports back with a clean outline of your workspace.
Windsurf chains complex table edits autonomously
This toolset uses `list_tables` and `update_row` to let Cascade write and modify rows without you touching a browser. If you tell Cascade to update a sprint backlog, it runs the discovery tools to find the target, pulls the schema, and applies changes. Cascade handles the entire loop. It checks if a row exists, updates it, and if it fails, it runs `insert_rows` to create a fresh entry on the spot.
Audit Coda formulas directly from Windsurf
This server uses `list_formulas` and `list_rows` to let Cascade inspect calculations and clean up messy tables. Cascade uses the formula tool to find broken logic and the row tool to filter out bad data. If Cascade spots empty rows that screw up your dashboard, it fires `delete_rows` to purge them. You get clean tables without leaving your IDE.
