How to Use the Code Climate MCP in Cursor
Inject live quality metrics into your editor with the Code Climate MCP Server for Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Code Climate MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Code Climate to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Get quality data in Cursor
Call `get_repository_code_quality` while you write code to see the current state of your codebase. The agent reads these metrics to inform its next refactoring move. Cursor can then suggest changes that actually improve your grade. It keeps your code aligned with team standards.
Fix issues using Cursor tools
Use `list_snapshot_code_issues` to pull a list of active bugs or style violations from the latest snapshot. The agent can ingest this list to write targeted fixes for specific files. This workflow turns your editor into a diagnostic tool. You address problems based on real analysis rather than gut feeling.
Track coverage metrics in Cursor
Query your test reports with `list_repository_test_reports` to identify gaps in your coverage. This ensures your commits stay compliant with your team's requirements. It brings the testing reality directly to your cursor. You stop pushing code that lacks adequate verification.
