How to Use the Codecov MCP in Cursor
Inject live Codecov metrics into your codebase using Cursor agent mode.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Codecov MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Codecov to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Audit code quality in Cursor
Use `get_coverage_report_tree` to visualize your project structure alongside coverage data. The agent maps your file tree to the actual test coverage metrics. It gives you a clear picture of what needs more tests. You see the gaps while you write your implementation code.
List repositories within Cursor
Run `list_codecov_repositories` to find the right project without switching browser tabs. The agent fetches your full list of repositories linked to your account. Selecting the right repo is fast. You can start debugging coverage issues in seconds.
Browse branches using Cursor
Call `list_repository_branches` to see the state of your feature branches. You can check if your current branch is reporting coverage back to Codecov. It prevents you from pushing code blindly. You confirm your environment is ready before you commit.
