How to Use the Coder (Remote Dev) MCP in Cursor
Bring Coder (Remote Dev) infrastructure into Cursor to code against live cloud environments.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Coder (Remote Dev) MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Coder (Remote Dev) to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Direct workspace integration for Cursor
Inject real-time cloud data into your code generation process. Use `get_workspace` to pull environment details and `list_workspaces` to switch between your active dev environments. Your AI agent uses these results to write code that matches your actual cloud configuration. Stop relying on stale mock files when you can fetch live specs.
Agentic build and task handling
Trigger long-running tasks or builds without breaking your flow. Use `create_user_task` to queue background operations and `list_tasks` to check their progress. When a build hangs, just tell your agent to run `cancel_workspace_build`. It keeps your development cycle moving while you stay focused on your logic.
Deep environment visibility
Debug your remote containers without leaving the editor. Fetch logs with `get_agent_logs` or inspect network details via `get_agent_debug_magicsock`. These tools provide the raw data your agent needs to fix configuration drift. You get precise answers based on the current state of your remote machine.
