How to Use the CoderPad MCP in Cursor
Control CoderPad environments and pull real-time candidate code directly into your Cursor editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CoderPad MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect CoderPad to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live candidate code directly into Cursor
Stop copy-pasting code from finished interviews to review them. Your Cursor agent uses this MCP Server to call `get_pad_session_details` and pull the exact code a candidate wrote directly into your active workspace. Having the live code inside your editor lets you run local tests or refactor their solution on the fly. It turns static interview reviews into active code reviews without leaving your development environment.
Replay interview keystrokes using this MCP Server
Understand how a candidate thinks by examining their chronological coding steps. Cursor calls `get_pad_event_log` to fetch the raw event history of their session and displays the timeline in your sidebar. You can ask your editor agent to find where the candidate refactored their logic or struggled with a specific test run. It maps the timeline to your local files so you can trace their logic step-by-step.
Spin up and track CoderPad sessions from Cursor
Prepare your workspace with this MCP Server for an upcoming technical screen in seconds. Use `create_new_interview_pad` to generate a fresh collaborative session, then use `list_coderpad_sessions` to keep track of its status. This tight integration keeps your focus on the code. Your editor agent can check your team profile with `get_my_coderpad_profile` to verify your host permissions before the candidate joins.
