Command-line DevOps with Claude Code and Coding.net

Claude Code uses `list_issues` to grab active Coding.net tickets and dump the output directly into your terminal. This makes it easy to pipe DevOps data via this MCP Server. The tool uses `get_issue` to fetch specific bug details, letting you inspect issues without opening a browser or leaving your SSH session.

Audit Coding.net commits directly from the terminal

Claude Code uses `get_commit` to track down bugs fast by inspecting recent changes in your Coding.net repository. You can review commit histories right in your terminal. Combine this with `list_branches` to see which branches hold the latest fixes. It is a massive time-saver for SREs and DevOps engineers running quick terminal audits.

Track pipeline health using this MCP Server

Claude Code uses `list_mrs` to monitor your team's development velocity and track active merge requests. It queries `get_user` to see who is assigned to each task. Your agent can quickly flag unmerged branches or stale pull requests in your Coding.net projects, helping you keep your main branches clean.

Common questions about Coding.net MCP in Claude Code

Run the `claude mcp add` command in your terminal, specifying the HTTP transport and your secure Vinkius endpoint URL. This adds the server directly to your local `~/.claude.json` configuration.
Yes. Because Claude Code runs in your terminal, you can easily pipe the results of tools like `list_repos` or `list_projects` into grep, jq, or local text files.
No, this MCP server is read-only. Claude Code can use `list_mrs` to inspect active merge requests, but you will need to perform the merge via the web UI or your git CLI.
Run `claude mcp list` in your terminal to see your active connections. You can then ask the agent to run `get_user` to verify your connection is working.
Vinkius processes all tool calls, including `get_commit` and `get_user` data, inside isolated V8 sandboxes. Your Coding.net access tokens are never exposed to the LLM or stored on our servers.
