Cline manages the full lifecycle of an entity check. It calls `create_search` to start the process and then reads the raw output from `get_search` to determine if a match exists. If a match is found, Cline automatically pulls the deep data. It uses `get_search_details` to fetch the specific watchlists or PEP hits, allowing you to see exactly what triggered the flag.
Automated risk status updates
Keep your risk management current without manual intervention. Cline uses `update_search` to change status labels like 'Under Review' or 'Cleared' based on the investigation results it finds. This ensures your internal records stay updated in real time. The agent handles the state changes, so your compliance dashboard always reflects the latest findings.
Direct monitoring management
Cline can start or stop surveillance on specific records by calling `update_search_monitors`. You tell it which entities to watch, and it handles the API calls to keep them active. It also fetches the current monitoring state using `get_search_monitors`. This confirms that your active filters are correctly applied to the right entities.
Set up ComplyAdvantage MCP in Cline
Prerequisites

Open Cline MCP settings
Click the Cline icon in the VS Code sidebar to open the Cline panel. Then click the MCP Servers icon (server stack) at the top-right corner of the panel.

Add a remote server
Click "Remote Servers" at the top, then click "Add Remote MCP". In the Name field, type
complyadvantage-mcp. In the URL field, paste your Vinkius endpoint:https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp. Get your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Enable the server
After saving, the server appears in the Cline MCP panel. Toggle the switch to enable it. The status indicator turns green when the connection is live.

Start using tools
Return to the Cline chat and ask: "Check my latest ComplyAdvantage refund status." Cline will discover the available tools and request your approval before invoking each one — giving you full control over every action.
