How to Use the Databricks MCP in Windsurf
Use the Databricks MCP Server in Windsurf to manage your lakehouse directly through Cascade.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Databricks MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Databricks to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage your Databricks clusters inside Windsurf
Cascade pulls live cluster state immediately. It hits `get_cluster` and `list_clusters` to show you exactly what is running without you leaving the editor. You avoid context switching when you need to check if a specific compute resource is active. Windsurf handles the connection so you stay in the flow.
Browse Unity Catalog with Windsurf
Ask Cascade to map your data layout using `list_catalogs` and `list_schemas`. It pulls the structure into your active session so you can reference table names without manual lookups. This keeps your schema definitions current. You see the actual state of your lakehouse rather than relying on stale documentation.
Monitor job execution via Windsurf
Trigger `list_jobs` or `list_job_runs` to see what finished and what failed. Cascade parses the output and highlights errors before you even open the dashboard. It saves you from digging through logs manually. You get a clear picture of your pipeline health right in your IDE sidebar.
