How to Use the DocsBot MCP in Windsurf
Windsurf connects your codebase to DocsBot, letting Cascade query your internal knowledge bases without breaking your flow.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect DocsBot MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect DocsBot to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query your bots directly in Windsurf
Cascade needs answers, not just code snippets. Use `ask_bot_question` to pull technical details directly from your DocsBot knowledge base. It saves you from switching windows just to check an internal API spec or deployment guide.
Manage DocsBot sources inside the IDE
Keep your documentation fresh by tracking what's currently indexed. Use `list_bot_knowledge_sources` to see exactly which URLs or PDFs your agent is reading. If the data is stale, you'll know immediately without guessing why the bot gave a wrong answer.
Audit interaction logs with Windsurf
Review how your team interacts with the bot to spot recurring friction points. `list_bot_interaction_logs` brings raw conversation data into your workspace. You can refine your documentation strategy based on the actual questions developers ask every day.
