Connect ExerciseDB MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect ExerciseDB to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Code training apps with live ExerciseDB data
`get_all_exercises` pulls raw exercise names, target muscles, equipment, and step-by-step instructions with built-in pagination. This tool gives your editor direct access to the full database of 1300+ movements. Instead of coding with dummy data, Cursor calls this tool to inject real payloads straight into your active files. You write cleaner code because you see the exact shape of the incoming JSON.
Validate equipment in Cursor
`get_equipment_list` and `get_target_list` return the exact string constants accepted by the database. These tools prevent typos and runtime errors when you build custom search filters. Your coding agent uses these lists to generate correct type definitions and dropdown options. You spend less time debugging API errors and more time building your application layout.
Query specific movements by unique identifiers
`get_exercise_by_id` retrieves a single, detailed exercise record complete with secondary muscles and GIF URLs. It is the core tool for building detail views in your fitness software. If you are building a search bar, Cursor uses `get_exercises_by_name` to test your search logic against real database queries. This ensures your front-end filters match the back-end response patterns.
