Connect FlightAware MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect FlightAware to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code with Live FlightAware MCP Server Data
Check the feed using the `get_flight_status` tool to retrieve real-time pushback, takeoff, and gate arrival times. Cursor lets your agent call this tool during a coding session, injecting actual JSON payloads instead of mock data into your logistics dashboard code. When you write flight tracking features, your agent uses `search_flights` to fetch active coordinates and speed. This ensures your front-end components are tested against live, structured aviation data from the start.
Incorporate Airport Routing and Weather
Copy that, we find common airway segments and flight planning routes using the `get_airport_routes` tool. Your agent uses this in Cursor to write route-parsing algorithms that handle real-world navigation fixes. You can also query `get_airport_weather` to get METAR and TAF data. This lets you debug weather-parsing scripts inside Cursor using live wind, visibility, and temperature strings from actual airports.
Query Aircraft and Fleet Metrics
Let's pull the data using the `get_aircraft_info` tool to fetch manufacturer details, engine types, and registration years for any tail number. Cursor uses this tool to help you build database schemas that match actual aircraft profiles. To pull fleet-wide details, the `get_operator_flights` tool lists active flights for any airline operator. Your agent can feed this directly into your local database seeding scripts to test high-volume tracking setups.
