Automated diagnostic chains with LangChain

Your LangChain agents can string together multiple infrastructure checks without you writing custom glue code. The agent runs `check_api_status` to confirm connection health, then immediately pulls active workloads using `list_flystack_deployments`. If a deployment looks off, the agent passes that ID directly to `get_deployment_details` in the next step of the chain. You see the entire execution path tracked in LangSmith, showing you exactly how the agent diagnosed the cluster.

Real-time telemetry analysis

Stop manually digging through dashboards when a service degrades. Your LangChain agent can call `get_cluster_metrics` to grab memory and CPU stats the second an alert fires. The model compares these live metrics against your target deployment specs fetched via `get_deployment_details`. It spots resource starvation instantly, giving your team the exact data needed to scale up.

Multi-server cluster auditing

Connect this server to your multi-agent setups to scan your entire footprint. The agent runs `list_flystack_clusters` to find every active cluster across your accounts. By combining these MCP tools with databases or vector stores in a single LangChain graph, your agent compiles a complete record of your infrastructure's health. You get a clear picture of what is running without writing a single API wrapper.

Setup guide

Set up Flystack MCP in LangChain

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • langchain-mcp-adapters + langgraph packages
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install dependencies

    Run pip install langchain-mcp-adapters langgraph langchain-openai. The MCP adapters package converts MCP tools into native LangChain BaseTool objects.

  2. 2

    Connect via HTTP transport

    Use MultiServerMCPClient with "transport": "http" pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create a ReAct agent

    Pass the discovered tools to create_react_agent() from LangGraph. The agent automatically routes Flystack tool calls through the MCP protocol.

  4. 4

    Run with any LLM

    Swap ChatOpenAI for ChatAnthropic, ChatGoogleGenerativeAI, or any LangChain-compatible model. The MCP tools work identically across all providers.

agent.py
from langchain_mcp_adapters.client import MultiServerMCPClient
from langgraph.prebuilt import create_react_agent
from langchain_openai import ChatOpenAI

async with MultiServerMCPClient({
    "flystack-mcp": {
        "transport": "http",
        "url": "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp",
    }
}) as client:
    tools = client.get_tools()

    agent = create_react_agent(
        ChatOpenAI(model="gpt-4o"),
        tools,
    )
    result = await agent.ainvoke({
        "messages": "List recent Flystack transactions"
    })
    print(result["messages"][-1].content)

Common questions about Flystack MCP in LangChain

Install the LangChain MCP adapter package and initialize the client with the Vinkius endpoint. Pass the tools from `get_tools()` directly into your agent constructor. The agent can then call tools like `list_flystack_clusters` on its own.
Yes, you configure the client session to handle retries. If your agent calls `get_cluster_metrics` too frequently, the adapter manages the backoff. This keeps your diagnostic chains running without crashing your pipeline.
The agent calls `list_flystack_deployments` to find active workloads, then feeds the IDs into `get_deployment_details`. It analyzes the returned configuration metadata to spot mismatched environment variables or bad image tags.
No, the server itself is stateless. Your agent handles the state within the LangChain run context, passing the output of `list_flystack_clusters` as the input for cluster-specific queries.
Your cluster metrics and deployment metadata never store on Vinkius servers. The MCP connection runs in a secure, ephemeral sandbox that only passes the raw JSON payloads directly to your local LangChain execution environment.
