Full cluster visibility in Windsurf

Cascade pulls your live infrastructure state directly into your workspace. Use `list_flystack_clusters` to map your current environment and identify which nodes require immediate attention. Stop guessing about your resource distribution. You get a clear, accurate list of every active cluster so Cascade can start its diagnostic sequence immediately.

Real-time metrics for Windsurf agents

Feed live cluster performance data into your agent using `get_cluster_metrics`. It monitors throughput and latency to help you pinpoint exactly where your bottlenecks are hiding. This data arrives in your IDE as raw telemetry. Cascade parses the numbers to suggest configuration changes before your users even notice a slowdown.

Deployment auditing for Windsurf users

Query `get_deployment_details` to check replica counts and status for any active environment. You see the exact configuration of your running code, not just a summary. Windsurf uses this to cross-reference your local code state against what is actually running in production. It identifies drift before it causes an outage.

Setup guide

Set up Flystack MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

  2. 2

    Add the Flystack MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Refresh MCPs

Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

  4. 4

    Verify in Cascade

Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my Flystack payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the Flystack tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.

Add the server to your ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json file. Once you refresh the MCP panel, Cascade gains immediate access to your infrastructure tools.
Yes. You can use the cluster listing tools to switch between different environments. Cascade manages the context for whichever cluster you are currently inspecting.
It acts as your diagnostic layer. You feed the output from the infrastructure tools into your agent to generate incident reports quickly.
