Connect GitBook to Cursor and get real documentation context while you write code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect GitBook MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect GitBook to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live documentation into Cursor
Use `get_page` to grab the latest API specs or setup guides. The AI agent in Cursor reads this content to write code that actually matches your docs. Stop guessing how a library works. Just ask the agent to fetch the page and it’ll use the real instructions to generate your functions.
Search across your GitBook spaces
Trigger `search_content` when you are stuck on an implementation detail. The AI scans your docs and provides an answer based on your actual documentation. It’s faster than tab-switching. You stay in the editor while the agent handles the lookups.
Map your documentation hierarchy
Call `list_spaces` and `list_pages` to show the agent where your project docs live. This helps the AI understand the context of your codebase versus your guides. When you provide this map, the agent makes better decisions. It knows exactly where to look for relevant information.
