Connect GitHub MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect GitHub to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate code using live GitHub repository details
This GitHub MCP Server feeds live repository context directly into Cursor's editor during active coding sessions. The Cursor agent calls `list_my_repositories` and `get_repository_details` to understand your GitHub project structure before writing a single line of code. Instead of relying on outdated training data, Cursor uses `get_file_content` to read your actual GitHub source files. Your generated code matches your existing GitHub patterns, architecture, and import paths exactly.
Fix open GitHub issues directly inside Cursor
This toolset allows Cursor to find, analyze, and write fixes for bugs tracked on your GitHub issue board. The Cursor agent runs `list_repository_issues` to pull descriptions and comments directly into your sidebar. Once the Cursor agent understands the bug, it searches your codebase, drafts the fix, and uses `create_new_issue` to update the GitHub tracking thread. You see the entire GitHub workflow inside your Cursor editor without switching to a browser.
Review active GitHub pull requests from the Cursor sidebar
This integration brings your team's GitHub code reviews into your active Cursor workspace. Cursor runs `list_pull_requests` to fetch open reviews and `list_repo_branches` to see where your teammates are pushing changes. You can ask the Cursor editor to compare branches or explain changes in a GitHub PR. The Cursor agent reads the GitHub branch metadata and file contents to explain the diffs right next to your active editor tabs.
