Map political boundaries inside VS Code Copilot
The `search_civic_divisions` tool finds electoral boundaries and OCD-IDs directly from your VS Code Copilot chat panel. Developers on your team can query political divisions without leaving their workspace or searching external documentation. This accelerates the development of district-based filtering systems. Copilot takes the returned division IDs and helps your team write clean, typed interfaces for geographic data.
Fetch live voter data using this MCP Server
The `get_voter_information` tool pulls real polling places, drop box locations, and ballot details into your VS Code Copilot context. Your team can quickly verify how their application parses complex election schedules. Since the configuration is committed to your repository, every developer gets instant access to the same live testing tools. This keeps your staging environment aligned with the actual API structures.
Validate representatives by address in real time
The `get_representatives_by_address` tool retrieves the entire political hierarchy for any US address directly in VS Code Copilot. You can instantly test how your database models handle different local and federal legislative branches. You can also call `check_api_status` to ensure your team's development keys are active. This prevents silent failures when testing civic features across distributed teams.
