How to Use the Hashnode MCP in Windsurf
Use the Hashnode MCP server to let Windsurf manage your tech blog drafts and publication updates directly from your IDE.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Hashnode MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Hashnode to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate blog publishing with Windsurf
Stop switching tabs to copy-paste markdown into the browser. Your Cascade agent uses `create_post` to take your local documentation or tutorial code and push it straight to your Hashnode publication. It handles the heavy lifting of content migration. You just define the goal in your editor and watch as the agent structures the request, verifies the payload, and confirms the live URL.
Sync existing content in your editor
Need to fix a typo or update a code block in a live article? Cascade uses `get_post` to pull your current content into a local buffer, letting you edit the markdown files you already have open. Once you’ve made your changes, the agent triggers `update_post` to sync those edits back to your blog. It’s the fastest way to maintain documentation without leaving your current workspace.
Track publication history via Cascade
Keep tabs on your growth by querying your own blog stats through `get_publication_posts`. Cascade can parse your recent output, helping you identify which topics perform best with your audience. It’s about knowing what you’ve already written before you start the next piece. The agent pulls the metadata so you can reference previous posts while building your new draft.
