Terminal-driven multimodal search

`search_multimodal_trips` combines buses, trains, bikes, and walking into a single API response. Claude Code invokes this tool to generate complex travel itineraries directly in your shell. You pipe coordinates into the CLI, and the agent outputs clean transit options. This lets you script route calculations or generate travel plans without leaving your terminal.

Automated schedule polling

`get_schedule` retrieves live departure boards for any station ID you target. Claude Code uses this tool to build monitoring scripts that alert you when your train is delayed. This MCP tool converts raw station data into clean terminal outputs. By combining this with `get_station_details`, you get both live times and station facility data in one go. It makes building command-line transit utilities incredibly fast.

Geolocation station discovery in this MCP Server

`get_nearby_stations` scans a customizable radius around any latitude and longitude to find transit hubs. Claude Code calls this tool to map out local transit infrastructure from raw GPS data. If you only have a name, the agent uses `get_stations_by_name` to resolve the query. This guarantees you get accurate station IDs for your terminal scripts.
