Connect Infracost MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Infracost to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Execute cost checks with Cline
Cline takes the lead on infrastructure cost analysis. It triggers `query_pricing` to calculate exact costs for your Terraform plans, providing a dollar-value breakdown before you ever provision a single resource. If the plan looks too expensive, it doesn't wait for your input. It uses `create_guardrail` to prevent the PR from merging, enforcing your financial constraints automatically.
Manage your custom price book
Enterprise pricing is complex. Cline simplifies it by using `get_price_book` to monitor your current ingestion status. When you need to update rates, it handles the `get_price_book_files_url` handshake and triggers `ingest_price_book` for you. This ensures your cost estimates match your actual negotiated discounts.
Automate resource tagging
Tagging is the only way to track spend. Cline uses `update_tagging_policy` to push your required standards to the cloud environment. It also uses `upload_custom_properties` to keep your internal cost centers in sync. This gives you granular control over attribution without manual entry.
