End-to-End Trivia App Building in Cline
You don't just ask Cline for code snippets. You tell it to build a complete trivia dashboard, and it uses the Jservice MCP server to do the heavy lifting. The agent fetches the data, writes the React components, and wires up the state management. It starts by calling `get_categories` to build your navigation menu. Then it writes the routing logic and uses `get_category` to populate individual pages. You get a fully functional, data-rich application without writing the boilerplate.
Dynamic Data Seeding via MCP Server
Writing seed scripts for databases usually means hunting down CSV files. Cline skips that completely. It connects to the API, pulls the records, and writes the seed file for your database directly. Ask your agent to populate a test database with 500 questions. It loops through `get_random_clues`, formats the output to match your Prisma or Drizzle schema, and executes the seed command.
Precise Clue Filtering for Edge Cases
Hardcoding test data wastes time. When you need specific edge cases, Cline uses `get_clues` to find exactly what you need. It filters by point value, broadcast date, or specific category IDs. If you are building a feature that sorts questions by difficulty, the agent grabs actual $200 and $1000 clues to verify the logic. It writes the tests, imports the real data, and shows you the passing diff.
