Get low-stock alerts in your shell

This is for scripting. Write a simple bash script that calls `list_kyte_products` and pipes the output to a loop that runs `get_inventory_status` on each product. If stock is below your threshold, send an alert to Slack or PagerDuty. You can run this as a cron job. It's headless monitoring for your Kyte store, managed entirely from the command line.

Run pre-deployment store checks

Before you deploy a change to your ecommerce site, use this MCP Server in your CI pipeline. A quick call to `get_kyte_store_status` ensures your POS is actually online. You can also use `list_product_categories` to validate that a new feature matches the categories in your live store. If a check fails, the pipeline stops. No more deploying against a broken backend.

Pull financial reports via shell script

Use Claude Code to pull raw transaction data. The `list_financial_transactions` tool lets you specify a date range and pipe the JSON output directly to `jq` for filtering. This is perfect for automated daily, weekly, or monthly reporting. You don't need to log into a dashboard; just run a command to get the numbers you need for accounting or analysis.

Common questions about Kyte MCP in Claude Code

It's a single command: `claude mcp add kyte-pos -- `. Claude Code stores the configuration, and you can immediately start calling tools like `list_kyte_orders` from your shell.
Yes. You can install Claude Code in your workflow, add the Kyte server, and use it to run checks. For example, use `get_order_details` to validate data before a data migration job runs.
Authentication is handled for you with a single token. The tool definitions are standardized via MCP, so your scripts are cleaner and more readable than writing raw HTTP requests. It's a higher-level, more reliable way to script.
Absolutely. For instance, `claude run list_kyte_products | jq -r '.[].id'` will give you a clean list of just the product IDs, ready to be used in another script. All output is pipe-friendly JSON.
The server strictly accesses your Kyte store's financial transaction and order data. Every request is isolated in a V8 sandbox on Vinkius. Nothing is logged, and the connection is authenticated with a single, revocable token, making it safe for automated scripts.
