Context-rich scheduling using BigQuery data

Enterprise project planning requires connecting your warehouse data to your actual LiquidPlanner Classic project schedules. With Google ADK, your agent pulls resource metrics from BigQuery and updates your timeline using `update_task` in a single run. Gemini models handle the massive context of your entire LiquidPlanner Classic project portfolio. The Google ADK reads hundreds of active tasks via `list_tasks` and makes scheduling decisions based on real historical performance data.

Long-context reasoning over entire workspaces

Standard models choke when you feed them an entire enterprise LiquidPlanner Classic workspace. Google ADK uses Gemini's million-token window to ingest every single task detail retrieved by `get_workspace` and `list_projects` without dropping context. This allows your Google ADK agent to analyze complex dependency chains across your entire LiquidPlanner Classic organization. It can spot scheduling conflicts that human managers miss and fix them immediately using `update_task`.

Secure execution using this Google ADK MCP Server

Run your LiquidPlanner Classic project management agents inside your existing Google Cloud perimeter. The Google ADK connects directly to this MCP Server, keeping all your calls to `create_project` and `list_members` within your secure cloud boundary. You can restrict which LiquidPlanner Classic tools are exposed to specific Google ADK agents using the tool name filter. This prevents a read-only reporting agent from accidentally triggering `create_task` or modifying existing project timelines.

Setup guide

Set up LiquidPlanner Classic MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with LiquidPlanner Classic tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="LiquidPlanner Classic_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to LiquidPlanner Classic tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about LiquidPlanner Classic MCP in Google ADK

You pass your Vinkius HTTP transport URL into the Google ADK toolset class. The SDK handles the connection, exposing the LiquidPlanner Classic project management tools directly to your Gemini agent.
Absolutely. Your Google ADK agent can query SQL tables in BigQuery, identify overdue milestones, and use `update_task` to adjust the schedule in LiquidPlanner Classic.
Yes, the Google ADK toolset exposes all ten core operations. Your agent can run `list_workspaces`, fetch specific details with `get_project`, and build new schedules with `create_task` inside LiquidPlanner Classic.
Use the optional tool names filter in the Google ADK setup. This lets you restrict an agent to harmless LiquidPlanner Classic tools like `list_tasks` while blocking write operations.
Your LiquidPlanner Classic workspace metadata, project names, and task structures flow directly through an ephemeral, zero-trust V8 sandbox. No data is ever stored or used for training Google models.
