Scriptable Dividend History

The `list_dividends` tool gives your scripts access to historical dividend data. Just specify a ticker and get back structured JSON with payment dates, record dates, and amounts. It's built for the command line. Pipe the output to `jq` for filtering, `awk` for processing, or a script for automated analysis. No parsing HTML or fighting with brittle screen scrapes.

Automate Financial Checks

Integrate this MCP Server into your DevOps workflows. Set up a cron job with Claude Code to run `list_dividends` and alert you if a company in your portfolio misses a dividend payment. You can also add it as a step in your CI pipeline to validate financial constants in your application against real-world data. It's a direct line from your terminal to the source data.

A Headless MCP Server

There's no UI. There's no configuration file to edit (unless you want to). This is a tool for automation. Connect the Massive server once from your terminal. From then on, Claude Code can call the `list_dividends` tool from any script, in any environment. It's designed for headless execution in containers, VMs, and CI runners.

Common questions about Massive MCP in Claude Code

It's one command: `claude mcp add --transport http massive-mcp -- `. Check that it's connected with `claude mcp list`. Your config is saved in `~/.claude.json`.
Yes, absolutely. Install Claude Code in your runner, add the Massive server with your token, and execute a command like `claude exec massive-mcp list_dividends --ticker=...`. You can use the output to pass/fail a build step.
You get clean JSON printed to standard output. It's an array of objects, where each object represents a single dividend payment with all its details. This makes it perfect for piping into tools like `jq`.
It's the communication method between Claude Code and the server. For a Vinkius-hosted server like Massive, you'll use `http`. Other options like `stdio` are for running local tools, but for remote access, `http` is the way to go.
Your connection to the Massive server is point-to-point. When you run a command, Claude Code makes a direct HTTPS call, gets the dividend data, and prints it to stdout. The Vinkius server that processed the request is temporary and doesn't log your queries. The data only exists on your terminal.
