Long-context task analysis via Google ADK

The `list_all_accessible_tasks` tool pulls your entire MeisterTask backlog into the Gemini model's 1M-token context window using the Google ADK. This allows the Gemini model to analyze months of MeisterTask project history in a single execution step. By feeding this MeisterTask data directly into Vertex AI, your Google ADK agent can identify patterns and bottlenecks across your boards. The managed MCP Server processes these large MeisterTask payloads inside the Vinkius sandbox to keep execution times low.

Database-driven task creation

The `create_new_task` tool inserts new items into your MeisterTask boards based on data fetched from your Google Cloud infrastructure. Your Google ADK agent queries BigQuery for system anomalies, then uses this tool to log them as actionable MeisterTask tickets. Using the Google ADK tools parameter, you pass the MCP Server endpoint directly to your LlmAgent. The agent executes the BigQuery query and the MeisterTask board update sequentially, keeping your engineering team informed of production issues.

Board structure mapping for enterprise planning

The `list_project_sections` tool retrieves the column layout of your MeisterTask boards to help your Google ADK agent map project phases. Your agent reads these sections to determine where to place newly synchronized tasks on your MeisterTask board. This mapping occurs entirely in the background using the secure Vinkius gateway to fetch MeisterTask data. You do not need to hardcode MeisterTask section IDs in your Google ADK script because the agent queries the live board structure dynamically.

Setup guide

Set up MeisterTask MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with MeisterTask tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="MeisterTask_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to MeisterTask tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about MeisterTask MCP in Google ADK

You pass a list of allowed tool names to the toolset initialization function in your Google ADK code. This lets you expose `list_section_tasks` to your Google ADK agent while hiding write operations like `remove_task` on the MCP server.
Yes, you can write a script that triggers your Google ADK agent when BigQuery detects a specific event. The agent then uses `create_new_task` to generate a corresponding ticket on your MeisterTask board.
The Google ADK connects to the Vinkius gateway using your single endpoint token. Vinkius handles the underlying credentials and session refreshes, so your Google ADK agent never sees your MeisterTask API keys.
Yes, the Google ADK connection to MeisterTask supports both Stdio and HTTP transports. For cloud deployments, we recommend using the HTTP transport via the Vinkius managed endpoint to simplify networking.
Your MeisterTask project names, task descriptions, and section IDs are processed in real-time through an isolated V8 sandbox. Vinkius employs a zero-trust model where MeisterTask data is never cached or stored on the server after the request completes.
