Connect Monday.com MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Monday.com to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Map code changes to Monday.com items in Cursor
The `list_board_items` tool pulls active board rows directly into your Cursor editor context using the MCP protocol. You can map your current git branch to a specific task without switching to a web browser. By analyzing the board items, the Cursor agent suggests relevant code files that match your assigned tasks. This aligns your local workspace with your team's project board.
Update task statuses during your Cursor coding sessions
The `update_item_columns` tool modifies specific status cells on your board as you complete functions or resolve bugs. Cursor handles the JSON formatting for the columns behind the scenes. Because the editor has direct access to `get_board_schema`, it knows the exact column types before writing. This avoids API validation errors that break your development flow.
Post debugging logs and updates directly from Cursor
The `post_item_update` tool writes terminal outputs or error stack traces directly to Monday.com items. You can document hard-to-reproduce bugs for your QA team without manual copy-pasting. If a task is resolved or deemed redundant, the editor can trigger `remove_item` to clean up the board. This keeps your project board synchronized with your actual code repository.
