How to Use the NationBuilder MCP in Cline
Cline connects to the NationBuilder MCP Server to manage your campaign data and donor lists directly from VS Code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect NationBuilder MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect NationBuilder to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage supporters with Cline
Cline uses `create_new_signup` to register new users as they interact with your software. You just tell it the goal, and it manages the API interaction. It verifies existence via `find_signup_by_email` before acting. This prevents duplicate entries and keeps your contact list clean.
Track donations in code
Call `record_donation` to log financial contributions the moment they occur. Cline handles the request parameters and confirms the success status in the terminal. This creates a direct link between your payment processing logic and your campaign records. It removes the need for manual data entry after a successful transaction.
Audit campaign activity
Use `list_recent_donations` to pull the latest financial activity into your workspace. Cline formats this data for your review or integrates it into your dashboard. It also maps out events using `list_upcoming_events`. You see the full scope of your community engagement without leaving your editor.
