Cascade pulls live package metadata into your workspace context. It uses `get_package` to grab the latest info before you commit to a dependency change. Stop guessing about version histories. The agent checks `get_package_version` to ensure you are pulling the exact build you need for your local environment.
Search packages with Cascade
Find the right library by using `search_packages` with specific qualifiers like keywords or maintainer names. Cascade handles the filtering internally. You just tell the IDE what you are looking for. It runs the query, parses the results, and presents the best matches for your current project.
Registry-wide diagnostics
Get the health status of the registry using `get_registry_meta`. It helps you debug connection issues or latency spikes during your build process. Cascade uses this data to plan its actions. If the registry is slow, the agent knows to adjust its request timing to stay within rate limits.
