Connect Nuclino MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Nuclino to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Configure the Nuclino MCP Server globally for your team
This MCP Server exposes `get_item` and `list_items` directly inside your shared team workspace config. Every developer on the team gets instant access to your internal technical specs, architecture guides, and onboarding docs without manual setup. Copilot Chat uses these tools to inspect your live documentation during a coding session. It means new developers can ask questions about the codebase and get answers grounded in your team's actual wiki pages.
Search and map team workspaces during chat
Navigating massive documentation trees is easy when Copilot uses `list_teams` and `list_workspaces` to identify your root structural folders. It maps out the exact layout of your team's knowledge base before pulling content. Once mapped, the agent runs `list_collections` to trace how documents relate to each other. If a developer needs a specific page, `search_items` runs an indexed search to locate the correct file across the entire organization.
Document code changes automatically from the chat panel
Writing documentation becomes a background task when Copilot uses `create_item` to generate new wiki pages right from your chat prompt. You can ask it to document a newly built API and watch it publish the page instantly. To keep existing pages accurate, the agent calls `update_item` to insert updates or append changelogs. It can also run `list_users` to see who owns a document or `list_fields` to verify the tags applied to it.
