Connect Trigger.dev (Background Tasks & Jobs) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Trigger.dev (Background Tasks & Jobs) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Run and Test Jobs
You tell Cline to run a job, and it executes the task immediately via `trigger_task`. It can also replay old tasks using `replay_run` for thorough testing. When writing code that interacts with background jobs, you'll use `get_batch_results` to confirm if your function calls successfully completed their work.
Build and Manage Environments
Setting up a new feature requires specific variables. Cline uses `create_env_var` to set them, or `list_env_vars` to see what's already there. It also lets you update these settings with `update_env_var`. If you need to tear down the environment after testing, use `delete_env_var`. This keeps your workspace clean.
Control Job Lifecycles
When a job is running, sometimes you gotta hit pause. Use `pause_resume_queue` to manage concurrency for large queues of tasks. For critical jobs that need immediate attention, the agent can cancel them using `cancel_run`. It also gives you ways to extend or complete specific steps with `complete_waitpoint`.
