Scripted Meeting Creation

Use `create_video_meeting` to automate scheduling. You can pass a title and ISO 8601 timestamps directly from your shell script, making the Webex booking part of your deployment pipeline. Need to change it? Running `update_meeting_schedule` allows you to adjust meeting times or titles as part of a nightly cron job without manual intervention.

Headless Room Setup

Start a new Webex space for a project using `create_webex_room`. This command is perfect for setting up temporary collaboration areas in a CI/CD environment. If the project wraps up, running `delete_webex_room` ensures that all associated history and resources are permanently removed from the system.

Monitoring Webex Status

To check what's scheduled or active, pipe commands like `list_scheduled_meetings` or `get_room_details` directly into your output stream. You get structured JSON data back. Updating existing resources is simple too. Use `update_room_title` to change a room name when the project scope shifts.

Common questions about Webex MCP in Claude Code

You execute the `create_video_meeting` command line tool, piping the title and timestamps directly. It's ideal for scripts that need to book resources before a build starts.
Yes, you can create or delete them entirely via CLI commands. Use `create_webex_room` to spin up space, and then use `delete_webex_room` for cleanup in your CI/CD pipeline.
You can list meetings using `list_scheduled_meetings`, or pull specific details using `get_meeting_details`. The output is always machine-readable text, perfect for piping to other tools.
Absolutely. You can script tests that check room availability using `get_room_details` and then write assertions based on the returned data structure. It makes environment validation reliable.
The server handles identifiers like meeting IDs, room IDs, titles (text strings), and ISO 8601 timestamps. All of it is processed in the terminal.
