Get Live Webex Meeting Context

Need to write a script that checks availability? Use `get_meeting_details` to pull real-time information about any given meeting. The Cursor Agent can inject this live data directly into the code you're writing. It also gets basic details using `get_room_details`. You don't deal with mock stubs; the AI generates working code that uses actual API responses from Webex.

Automating Webex Scheduling Logic

Building a scheduler? The Agent can call `create_video_meeting` to generate meeting parameters, which you then integrate into your function. If the time changes, use `update_meeting_schedule` and let the AI handle the API call. Remember that `list_scheduled_meetings` gives you all the necessary IDs to make subsequent calls.

Managing Webex Resources in Code

You can write functions that create new spaces using `create_webex_room`. When cleaning up, use `delete_webex_room` to ensure the code handles resource removal. The MCP Server makes these calls feel like local library imports. If you need a list of all available rooms, call `list_webex_rooms`; this context helps your program run correctly.

Setup guide

Set up Webex MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the Webex MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent Webex transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the Webex tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.
