Connect WordPress MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect WordPress to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate and update content structures.
Need to create a new article record? Use `create_cms_post` to define the title, body, and initial status. This function makes sure your code works with live data from WordPress. You can modify existing posts using `update_cms_post`. Instead of hardcoding values, you pass a JSON object with specific field updates. The AI agent uses this real API response directly into your codebase.
Retrieve site context and media files.
Building a component that needs images? Run `list_media_attachments` to pull all file details from the WordPress library, which you can then reference in your code. You also get access to the overall site taxonomy with `list_site_categories`. For listing posts, use `list_site_posts`. It accepts standard WP query parameters, letting Cursor write a filtered list that reflects exactly what's live on your WordPress site.
Manage users and static page data.
You can gather all necessary user information using `list_site_users`. This allows the AI to build type-safe code handling multiple roles. If you need to work with pages instead of posts, `list_static_pages` provides that dataset. The server also lets you list and manage content tags via `list_site_tags`, ensuring your generated code handles proper categorization for WordPress.
