Run production workflows headlessly

You can create a full pipeline using `create_workflow` from a shell script. If the process fails during CI/CD, you don't need to manually intervene; simply use `retry_execution` in your job runner.

Inspect workflow status and logs for monitoring

To see if a scheduled task ran correctly, check the overall health with `check_workload_status`. For deep debugging of an old run, use `list_logs` to pull all output. You can also get details on what the process was supposed to do using `get_workflow`.

Manage and list available automation processes

Before writing a script, verify what's possible by running `list_workflows`. Need to stop an old, forgotten job? Use `disable_workflow`. You can also check the current connection setup using `get_connection`.

Common questions about Workload MCP in Claude Code

The Workload server manages the external connections and automation logic your script relies on. It ensures that the APIs your code calls are active and configured correctly before deployment.
Yes, absolutely. If an automated job fails in the pipeline, run `list_logs` to retrieve the full output logs. This gives you the precise error message needed for debugging.
This MCP Server deals exclusively with connection credentials and metadata. It stores information about which external services are linked to your organization's automations.
Yes. By listing available connections (`list_connections`), you can ensure that your script targets the correct environment—staging or production—when running a workflow.
Use `get_connection`. This command confirms that the stored connection details are valid and accessible before your script attempts to authenticate against an external API endpoint.
