Bulk Sync Validation Scripting

Need to run a pre-deployment check? Start by listing all directories using `list_directories`. Pipe that output into a loop that calls `get_directory_details` for each ID. This validates your entire sync setup before deployment. You can then script checks on groups, pulling data with `list_directory_groups`, ensuring consistency across environments.

Audit Log Pipeline Jobs

For CI/CD pipelines, running a quick audit is critical. You execute `get_audit_log_events` to pull the event stream directly into your log output. This feeds into subsequent analysis tools. This mechanism lets you script historical checks against the WorkOS account without needing a GUI.

Initial Organization Provisioning

When spinning up a new environment, you can provision it by running `create_workos_organization` from your shell script. This requires providing the name and list of authorized domains. The MCP Server executes this command headlessly, making it perfect for automated setup tasks in Docker or GitHub Actions.

Common questions about WorkOS MCP in Claude Code

You execute the `get_audit_log_events` tool and pipe the resulting event stream to your log file. This is ideal for cron jobs or nightly CI/CD runs.
You can list organizations using `list_workos_organizations` and then dive deeper into a specific setup using `get_organization_details`. Both tools return data you can process with standard Unix piping.
Yes. You run `list_directories` to get all sync instances, and then loop through them calling `get_directory_details`. This is a fundamental check for any DevOps pipeline.
The server manages core directory metadata. You can use it to create new organizations (`create_workos_organization`) or list existing connections, making it reliable for automated provisioning.
This server touches organizational configuration and directory metadata. Specifically, it handles user lists, group memberships, SSO connection records, and organization details.
